There's great news for home buyers and sellers - the Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009!
President Obama signed the Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009 into law on November 6, 2009. This Act extends and expands the first-time homebuyer tax credit allowed by the previous American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Whether you're a first-time buyer, a repeat home buyer, selling or refinancing, there's a good chance it could affect you and your home buying decisions - and fast! The primary benefit to home owners, home buyers and anyone interested in real estate is the fact that the federal government is giving away FREE MONEY to first-time home buyers up to $8,000 or 10% of the purchase price of a home, whichever is less. Additionally, the government is now giving away FREE MONEY up to $6,500 or 10% of the purchase price of the home, whichever is less, to Existing Homeowners interested in moving to a new home! To be eligible for this tax credit, existing homeowners must own and reside in a home for at least 5 consecutive years of the 8 years prior to the purchase date.
This is an unprecedented time in our nation's history to buy a home. If you have never owned a home, haven't owned a home in the past three years, or are looking to buy a new home you qualify to receive the FREE MONEY as an income tax credit when filing your income taxes for the years 2008 or 2009.
For First-Time Homebuyers, the home you purchase must be your primary residence (no investment properties). Your individual income must be below $75,000, or if married, below $150,000 annually.
Repeat Homebuyers must purchase a home for primary residency (no investment properties). Your individual income must be below $125,000, or if married, below $225,000 annually.
Remember, this is FREE MONEY so why wait? Mortgage rates are at an "all-time" low. You can own a home today for less than the rent you're paying for an apartment. Claim your share of the FREE MONEY while you can!

Furthermore, President Obama unveiled his Housing Affordability and Stability Plan on February 18, 2009. It is intended to decrease the rate of home foreclosures with the use of up to $75 billion dollars of federal tax dollars to subsidize the refinancing of troubled loans for home owners and write-off of bad loans for banks. If successful in decreasing the rate of home foreclosures, housing prices are expected to stabilize over time. In addition, the plan offers relief to home owners in good standing with their loans by offering them the opportunity to refinance at lower rates. Further details are said to be forthcoming in the next 2 weeks. Stay tuned.
